About & Contact
I live in Gloucester with my husband James, our three sons, two cats and a leopard gecko called Bob. I was born in Yorkshire but love the South West because frankly, it's a bit grim up North. That's not to say that Yorkshire isn't the most beautiful place on the planet on a good day, it's just that good days are rationed out (from those hands on short arms rooting in deep pockets). The Cotswolds are a bit looser, a bit freer with their sunshine. It may be fur coats but there are no knickers and I applaud that. I like easy, bring on the sunshine and the al fresco dining!
I was 26 when I started dating James and started the path towards becoming a stepmother. I think it was the perfect age; young enough to be brave and old enough to not be too idealistic. I had my son when I was 30 and the single best moment was when I told my oldest stepson I was pregnant. A slow smile crept across his face and I knew that with him on board everything would be ok.
Blended families aren't so tricky. Basically you put all of your feelings in a blender then try to piece them back together and pass yourself off as a sane person.
